Student Engineer - Oil Sands Projects

Join Canadian Natural’s Oil Sands Projects team as a Chemical Engineering Student in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Develop your engineering skills through challenging assignments and hands-on projects.

This exciting opportunity allows you to assist in various engineering tasks for oil and gas operations over an 8 to 12-month term. You'll gain insights into key processes like Secondary Upgrading and Froth Treatment under the guidance of experienced professionals. This collaborative role focuses on applying theoretical knowledge to tangible projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with project scope and deliverables

• Conduct process simulations and calculations

• Analyze operation data to support designs

• Facilitate coordination with other engineering disciplines

• Help with quality control of documentation

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering

• Basic knowledge of process plant equipment

• Ability to read PFDs and generate energy balances

• Familiarity with process simulation software

• Clean Class 5 Alberta driver's license
