Position: Civil Engineer with Steel Design Focus
Técnicas Reunidas Canada is hiring a Civil Engineer with a specialization in Steel Structure Design to work on impactful EPC projects in Alberta and British Columbia. Emphasize details, safety, and regulatory compliance in structural designs.
As part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and review of steel structures for complex industrial projects.

Your role is vital in ensuring all designs meet the stringent safety and compliance requirements set forth by provincial codes. You'll collaborate effectively with engineering disciplines to support comprehensive project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in structural design for industrial EPC projects

• Review and evaluate steel drawings and complex calculations

• Ensure adherence to regional steel design and building codes

• Coordinate with other engineering teams to resolve conflicts

• Advise on specifications for materials and welding suited for local conditions
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

• At least 5 years of progressive engineering experience

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration with APEGA or EGBC

• Strong background in structural steel design and vendor review

• Familiarity with Alberta and British Columbia regulatory frameworks
