Position: PCB Designer 1
Location: Cochrane

Overview Creates well defined moderately complex Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs from schematics and input from Design Engineers Essential Functions Partners with Product Design Engineers and Mechanical Engineers to produce complex PCB Designs that are timely, robust, and economical Data setup for complex PCB designs Independently determines general approach and provides reliable solutions to technical problems Collaborates and adds value to engineering design reviews Contributes to determining feasibility of project goals/objectives Contributes to testing tools introduced to the team Contributes to PCB Design process improvement projects Ability to mentor one or more PCB Designers Demonstrates expert knowledge in PCB Design and Engineering processes Practices PCB Design's Mission and Vision Statement and exhibits enthusiasm for and a desire to see Garmin succeed Basic Qualifications Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field OR a minimum of 2 years experience performing a substantially similar role OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Must demonstrate an ability to read schematics Must demonstrate proficiency using personal computers and Microsoft Office applications Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Desired Qualifications

Experience with Cadence Allegro Working knowledge of all types of electronic components Working knowledge of electronic circuits theory of operation Garmin Canada is an equal opportunity employer.
