Transform Canada’s water systems as a Lead Hydraulic Modeller with WSP in Edmonton, AB. This Senior role offers opportunities in complex hydraulic modelling while enhancing your technical prowess.
As part of WSP, you’ll work on vital projects addressing flood risks and water infrastructure resilience.
Your role involves modeling extreme flood scenarios and developing strategies alongside industry experts. Collaborate with Indigenous partners and municipalities to create technical solutions that meet community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership on hydraulic modelling tasks
• Create and validate flood models using advanced software
• Model climate-driven flood scenarios and ice hydraulics
• Participate in floodplain mapping and drainage assessments
• Train junior modellers and establish hydraulic standards
Requirements:
• 5–10 years of experience in hydrotechnical engineering
• Advanced skills with hydraulic modelling software
• Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering
• Registered P.Eng. in Canada or eligible
• Strong project management and relationship building skills
