Reporting to the Manager of Project Engineering, this role is essential for maintaining the integrity of power system studies and would leverage your expertise in mentoring others within the team. You’ll establish and apply validation frameworks while actively participating in technical groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead validation of project models for power studies
• Validate model assumptions and results for fitness
• Review and validate generator and network models
• Communicate risks and modeling results clearly
• Mentor engineers in best practices for modeling
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years in electric utility sector
• Proficiency in power system modeling and PDUP validation
• Deep understanding of Alberta's electricity regulations
• Strong skills in PSSE and power system analysis
•
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, eligible for P.Eng.
