Senior Engineer: High Voltage Power Systems

Become an integral part of DEG Engineering as a Senior Electrical Engineer with a focus on High Voltage Power systems in Calgary. This position supports hybrid work arrangements while shaping innovative engineering solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire power-system lifecycle from initial studies to energization. Your expertise will support generator installations and utility interfaces while ensuring high technical standards are met throughout the project. Strong leadership and collaboration will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design high-voltage power and generation systems

• Facilitate power-system studies and evaluations

• Lead interdisciplinary technical reviews

• Supervise construction, testing, and energization activities

• Mentor junior staff and guide project scopes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Professional registration with APEGA or eligibility

• Senior experience in industrial power systems

• Proficient in relevant Canadian electrical codes

• Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, or similar tools
