Offer Description The Combustion and Flow Research Group at the University of Calgary invites applications for fully funded thesis-based MSc positions in spray combustion, fuel injection, and aerospace propulsion.
Research topics include aerospace injector design, high-pressure fuel sprays, atomization and mixing, spray combustion, sustainable aviation fuels, optical diagnostics, and CFD modelling . Students will have access to advanced high-pressure/high-temperature spray facilities, high-speed diagnostics, and computational resources.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Experience in combustion, fluid mechanics, experiments, CAD, CFD, or programming is desirable but not required.

Skills/Qualifications
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field . A strong background in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics is expected.
Experience with combustion, fuel injection, spray diagnostics, CFD, CAD, or scientific programming is an asset. Candidates should have strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
