In this Applications Specialist position, you will be integral to the Controls & Automation team at Sabre Ltd., headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of electrical systems, including PLC, VFD, and Motor Control, alongside proven estimating experience. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management to assess technical requirements and deliver comprehensive project pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive estimates for custom control panel projects
• Review customer specifications and electrical drawings
• Select electrical components ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Collaborate with engineering for cost-effective panel solutions
• Maintain historical costing data for accurate proposals
Requirements:
• 7+ years' experience in estimating or applications for control panels
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and automation systems
• Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics
• Ability to manage multiple quotations effectively
