Environmental permitting and planning define this hybrid Environmental Planner role at Jacobs, supporting infrastructure projects from Western Canada offices or remote locations.
Jacobs seeks an Environmental Planner with 3+ years in the environmental field. You will support planning, permitting, field programs, and regulatory compliance across infrastructure project life cycles. The work involves technical writing, client interfaces, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:- Support environmental planning and permitting throughout project life cycles
- Review potential impacts and help develop mitigation strategies
- Prepare permit inputs, regulatory filings, and management plans
- Coordinate field studies and environmental alignment sheets
- Support Indigenous, stakeholder, and regulatory engagement efforts
- Degree in environmental planning, science, geography, biology, ecology, or related field
- Three or more years of environmental field experience
- Familiarity with Western Canada permitting, legislation, and regulations
- Demonstrated technical writing and attention to detail
- Strong communication, initiative, problem solving, and adaptability
