We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Counter Sales Representative based out of Calgary, AB location (3909A Manchester Road SE, Calgary AB).
POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking a dependable, customer‑focused professional to support both branch sales and warehouse operations in a fast‑paced industrial environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless daily operations— from assisting customers and processing orders to maintaining accurate inventory and coordinating shipments.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in‑person with professionalism and technical expertise.
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, pricing, availability, and alternative solutions.
- Present alternatives and solutions considering pricing, specifications, compatibility, and availability.
- Provide reliable updates on product availability, shipment status, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment and resolve issues.
- Help maintain an organized, stocked, and professional counter area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat customers.
- Support inventory counts and maintain accurate system information.
- Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional branch presence.
- Perform other branch and counter‑related duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience in Industrial MRO, fasteners, components, or related environment is required.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Solid problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Honest, dependable, and punctual with a proactive work ethic.
- Capable of following written instructions, safety procedures, and documented processes.
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel), and ERP/order entry systems.
- Working knowledge of business math including pricing, measurements, ratios, and basic algebra.
