Events Engagement Assistant at MRU

Join Mount Royal University as an Events and Engagement Assistant in a hybrid work model. You'll support a variety of athletics and recreation events while fostering campus engagement activities.

This flexible role, within the Cougars Athletics and Recreation Department, offers unique opportunities to assist in the planning and execution of departmental events and promotional campaigns. Your creative skills and strong communication will be pivotal as you represent the Cougars brand, coordinate activities, and enhance the student experience at MRU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan Student Nights and themed games

• Execute member engagement events and fan experiences

• Oversee game day entertainment for varsity sports

• Collaborate with campus departments on event promotion

• Maintain relationships with the student body

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication and creativity skills

• Knowledge of Google Suite applications

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Understanding of social media best practices
