Front of House Theatre Manager

Lead welcoming theatre operations at Story Book Theatre in Calgary, using customer service and volunteer coordination during evening and weekend shows. Support patrons while keeping each performance running smoothly for everyone.

The Front of House Manager reports to the Artistic Producer and supports theatre operations throughout scheduled runs. This part-time position suits someone with customer service experience, leadership experience, strong communication, and organizational skills. Story Book seeks a candidate willing to grow into the role while supporting its inclusive organizational mandate.

• Greet and assist patrons with a cheerful, welcoming attitude
• Train and coordinate volunteers for ushering and concessions
• Maintain theatre cleanliness and presentation before and after shows
• Coordinate theatre opening and closing with Stage Management
• Direct autograph lines after applicable performances

• Customer service experience, preferably with an arts organization
• Prior leadership experience in team management
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Strong customer-focused approach during all interactions
• Comfort with technology and computers
