Part-Time University Theatre House Manager

Lead front of house operations at University of Calgary theatre facilities, using supervision and customer service skills during events. Calgary shifts are primarily evenings and weekends.

The Department of Theatre Services seeks two recurring part-time House Managers within the Faculty of Arts. You will supervise ushers, cashiers, and concession staff while ensuring smooth event operations. The position requires independence, staff communication, and responsive audience support.

• Supervise part-time student front of house staff
• Communicate event information and specific staff duties
• Ensure patrons receive respectful, responsive assistance
• Maintain box office and concession floats and deposits
• Complete event paperwork and update payroll records

• House management experience or strong front of house knowledge
• Strong supervisory and communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Flexibility and effectiveness under pressure
• Fine arts background or university community knowledge welcomed
