Those in international tax at PwC will provide advice and guidance to clients on structuring their global tax positions. Your work will involve analysing international tax laws and regulations to develop strategies that optimise tax efficiency and minimise risks for multinational businesses.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As an International Tax Services Senior Associate
, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and review of surplus computations, foreign accrual property income and excluded property computations, and T1134 information reporting for taxpayers with foreign affiliate groups.

  • Engage with affiliated PwC firms in foreign jurisdictions to help clients navigate foreign tax laws.

  • Assist with cross border restructuring transactions for multinational groups headquartered in Canada and Canadian groups of foreign multinational groups

  • Support clients as they navigate new Canadian tax legislation, such as Pillar Two, Excessive Interest and Financing Expense Limitation (EIFEL) rules, and anti-hybrid mismatch rules, and assist with associated computations.

  • Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.

  • Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice.

  • Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives

  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

  • Experience and skills you’ll use to solve

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives

  • Prior experience in international corporate tax /or compliance expertise

  • CPA, LLB or equivalent designation considered an asset

  • Enrollment in CICA In-depth Tax program considered an asset

  • Strong technical background and broad based tax skills

  • Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you the reputation of providing excellence in client service focused on helping clients solve their issues

  • Demonstrated ability to identify tax consulting opportunities and a willingness to effectively market services to existing and prospective clients
