Responsibilities
Perform Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) engagements to assist clients in meeting their National Instrument 52-109 (NI 52-109) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 compliance requirementsScoping of significant accountsEvaluating entity-level controlsPerforming risk and control assessmentsTesting key internal controlsPreparing reports including recommendations for improvementAssess business processes and internal controls across a range of industries, identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and controls through the development of financial and operational risk management programsFacilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality and deadlinesContribute to the development of innovative ideas and approaches to improve work processesAttend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around enterprise riskParticipate in the delivery of additional Enterprise Risk Services including compliance audits, internal audit, data analytics, enterprise risk management and business resilience, as necessaryMaintain flexibility to travel, as necessarySkills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance other related fieldCompletion of, or working towards, CPA designation1 to 2 years of experience in external or internal audit or public practice is preferred
