Financial Analyst
Our client in the downtown area is searching for an experienced Financial Analyst to join their growing team.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
Collect, evaluate and apply financial, economic, and/or statistical data to analyze and evaluate investment opportunities;Work closely with Construction, Leasing and Accounting departments to perform ongoing reconciliation and model adjustments of projects under development;Collect, aggregate and evaluate project information across the firm’s portfolio to assist in CapitalBudgeting and Pro Forma Financial Statement Modelling for Board of Directors Presentations;Perform financial statement review and credit evaluations for prospective tenants within project portfolios;Evaluate and compare the relative quality of various development opportunities; including:
Preparing and presenting Pro Forma Development Models to senior management and investment partners;
Preparing and presenting confidential information memorandum documentation;Perform financial modeling in Excel to support asset acquisitions and divestitures, as well as leasing transactions;Your strengths include:Undergraduate degree in Business with 3-5 years of relevant post-graduate experience in accounting, corporate finance, investment banking, commercial/corporate banking, corporate development, research, private equity, real-estate valuations, asset management corporate development, or other similar finance role.Working towards or having obtained a CPA or CFA is considered an asset.Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of all other Microsoft Office applications;Experience with robust financial modelling within Excel and previous use of VBA programming language would be considered an asset;Highly motivated with strong adaptive problem solving skills and business acumen;Keen sense of attention to detail with the ability to learn tasks quickly.
