The Opportunity

As a Tax Manager, you will be part of our People Advisory Services Tax, Reward practice. You will join a team of subject matter specialists who provide advice to organizations and high-net-worth business owners regarding employee compensation, domestic and cross-border tax planning, estate and wealth transfer, postmortem planning, and philanthropic planning. Our Rewards practice works closely with our private tax, transaction tax, and international tax groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify planning opportunities and prepare correspondence describing the income tax implications of transactions.
  • Research client issues that arise from planning or compliance work using a variety of online sources.
  • Liaise with the client’s legal counsel.
  • Review personal, trust, and corporate tax returns and related compliance responsibilities.
  • Liaise with the Canada Revenue Agency and relevant provincial ministries on client issues.
  • Prepare tax election forms.
  • Assist and manage the administration of personal and trust tax compliance seasons.
To Qualify for the Role, You Should Have
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and/or another appropriate academic major.
  • 5+ years of relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry.
  • Completed or enrolled in the CPA In-Depth Tax Course, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, professional services environment.
