In This Role, You Will
- Create a consistent and exceptional customer experience in the branch, with specialty and predominant focus in home borrowing advice and experiences.
- Requires deep knowledge and expertise of the Real Estate Secured Lending products; with in-depth knowledge of investing, day‑to‑day banking, and all other TDCT products and services.
- Ask thoughtful questions to uncover and understand Customer needs, owning solutions that align to mandate and bring in an expert for needs outside of capability.
- Improve customer financial confidence through ongoing dialogue and by answering questions and providing advice.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the branch for both customers and colleagues regarding all products, services, policies, and procedures of TD – especially regarding both personal banking and business banking products/services or policies/procedures owned within the Branch.
- Maintain a professional and inviting space in all common areas of the branch, adhering to premises, marketing, and/or regulatory guidelines, paying attention to the office spaces in which the Senior Personal Banker – Home Borrowing occupies.
- Consistently engage in proactive customer outreach (via phone, email, etc.) to discuss portfolio updates and/or additional opportunities which best service the customer's needs; responsible for being present in the community for additional customer outreach.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends to support advice recommendations.
- Ensure documentation that is prepared and completed is accurate, properly reflects the customer/business' intentions, and retained in accordance with business policies and procedures.
- Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
- Contribute to the achievement of business objectives by proactively attracting, acquiring and retaining customers / advice opportunities and referrals, to drive growth for TD; this role is particularly responsible for achieving market share growth by bringing new business to TD.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma and/or
- Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree (in related field) preferred.
- 2+ years relevant experience.
- Investment Funds Canada (IFC) or equivalent.
- Certificate in Financial Services Advice (CFSA).
