Experienced Associate Financial Advisor

Our Calgary based client is seeking an Experienced
Associate Financial Advisor to join their team. The Associate Financial Advisor will analyze client portfolios, execute portfolio rebalances, and develop tailored investment recommendations aligned with clients’ financial goals, risk tolerance, and time horizons. In addition, the role involves assisting with tax planning strategies, creating and updating financial plan projections, and identifying planning opportunities across retirement, estate, education, and cash flow planning.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Develop and maintain strong client and partner relationships
  • Guide clients through investment suitability assessments, asset allocation, and portfolio construction discussions.
  • Manage an assigned segment of the firm’s existing client book
  • Contribute to the growth of the book through proactive service and relationship management
  • Prepare for client meetings, including data gathering, portfolio analysis, and agenda development
  • Conduct and participate in regular client review meetings
  • Create and present portfolio recommendations tailored to client goals and risk profiles
  • Assist with tax planning strategies to enhance after-tax outcomes
  • Prepare, update, and analyze financial plan projections
  • Ensure timely and thorough client follow-ups on action items and recommendations
  • Your strengths include:
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) completed
  • Ready for CIRO licensing
  • Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) completed or actively in progress
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, or currently pursuing
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft platform; experience with Salesforce considered an asset
  • Position Requirements
