Financial Reconciliation Analyst – Contract Remote

Our Calgary client is seeking an experienced remote Financial Reconciliation Analyst to join their team on a 4‑month contract. The ideal candidate will be heavily involved in daily transaction processing, maintaining various investment reconciliations, and supporting month‑end and quarter‑end reporting, operational procedures, and audit checklists.

• Review external notices and record private investment transactions, including capital calls, distributions, loan rollovers, and interest capitalization.
• Assist with investment closings by reviewing documentation, setting up investments, processing transaction entries, and coordinating settlements.
• Update and maintain market values for private fund investments in the system for valuation purposes.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations.
• Process invoice payments and record related transactions in the system.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analysis as requested by the manager or internal stakeholders.
• Resolve issues and make timely decisions under strict deadlines to ensure accurate and efficient handling of Private Investment Portfolio activities.

• Undergraduate degree in Investment, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Working toward or completion of a CPA or CFA designation is considered an asset.
• Strong ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions under strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of various investment products; experience with illiquid asset classes such as Infrastructure, Timber, Private Equity, or Private Debt is an asset.
