Director of Finance Independent School

Lead financial strategy at Calgary French & International School as Director of Finance, guiding reporting, controls, and sustainable growth. Calgary-based leadership supports campus expansion and enrolment growth.

As a Senior Leadership Team member, you will advise the Head of School and Board of Directors. You will oversee Finance and Human Resources, lead two direct reports, and contribute to strategic and financial planning. The position requires expertise in accounting operations, audits, budgeting, and nonprofit stewardship.

• Prepare quarterly statements, variance analyses, and monthly departmental reports
• Develop budgets, business plans, and financial strategic plans
• Maintain policies, procedures, controls, and accounting system integration
• Lead audits, tax filings, funding compliance, and board reporting
• Coach Finance and Human Resources for operational performance

• University degree and Chartered Professional Accountant designation or equivalent
• Ten years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience
• Three years leading a finance function or team of five
• GAAP, consolidation, controllership, and financial management expertise
• Strong analytical, communication, planning, and problem-solving capabilities
