Scotiabank’s Scotia Capital Inc. seeks an Associate or Associate Director for its technical Energy team. The work covers upstream oil and gas, midstream infrastructure, and Energy Transition. You will analyze production, reserves, economics, capital, operating expenses, and development plans while supporting integrated investment banking workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate upstream, midstream, and Energy Transition assets
Analyze technical and financial datasets, including well performance
Research regulatory, ESG, and ARO matters
Prepare technical marketing documents and presentations
Support buyer presentations, Q&A, and data rooms
Requirements:
Engineering or Geology university degree
Five to ten years of energy sector experience
Technical data gathering, analysis, and communication skills
Familiarity with Val Nav, Geo Scout, XI Technologies, or Enverus
Strong presentation, organization, discretion, and teamwork skills
Apply technical evaluation, energy sector knowledge, and communication skills within Scotiabank’s Calgary investment banking team.
