Compliance Quality Assurance Lead

Lead compliance and quality assurance at CMHC by testing controls, assessing risks, and strengthening governance practices in a hybrid work model. Limited travel is required.

This Senior Specialist position supports the Chief Risk Officer’s team with independent challenge and strategic insight. You will work across first-line teams and oversight functions, applying internal control, compliance, quality assurance, risk assessment, and reporting expertise. The work supports proactive operational risk management.

• Develop and continuously improve compliance and assurance practices
• Set objectives and evaluate risks, controls, processes, and requirements
• Recommend remediation and elevate significant concerns to management
• Maintain risk indicators and performance measures
• Communicate results through committees, working groups, and presentations

• Related undergraduate degree in business, finance, commerce, or analytics
• At least seven years’ relevant audit, assurance, compliance, or risk experience
• Knowledge of financial or nonfinancial risk management oversight
• Experience translating complex data into management insights
• Negotiation, relationship-building, judgment, and prioritization abilities
