This Planner 2 role offers opportunities in policy projects and urban design, integral to the Community Planning Business Unit. Responsibilities include preparing land use applications, conducting research, and ensuring successful policy outcomes. You'll negotiate effectively with applicants and collaborate with city-builders, contributing to significant community plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review development permit applications
• Conduct planning research and present findings
• Negotiate on policy development initiatives
• Coordinate with other departments on planning
• Present to the Calgary Planning Commission as required
Requirements:
• Relevant degree in Planning or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of planning experience
• Consideration for membership with professional associations
• Broad knowledge of urban planning legislation
• Proven relationship-building and communication skills
