Job Summary

Financial Planner – Mass affluent investing clients, located in Calgary, Alberta. Report to TD Wealth Financial Planning team. 37.5 hours per week. Base pay $60,000 – $70,000 CAD plus commission.

Responsibilities
  • Identify client life and financial goals, provide comprehensive reviews, and build long‑term relationships.
  • Conduct reporting and analysis, draw conclusions, make recommendations and continually assess program effectiveness.
  • Contribute to team and department goals while strengthening customer service and dedication.
  • Monitor service, productivity, and efficiency, implementing continuous improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices, stay ahead of emerging trends.
  • Acquire, apply, and share expertise; provide mentorship, assistance and direction to others.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, aligned with risk appetite.
  • Participate fully as a team member, supporting a positive, service‑oriented work environment.
Qualifications
  • University degree (preferred).
  • 3–5 years experience in financial services managing client relationships, providing financial advice, and tailored investment solutions.
  • CIRO Registered Representative license within 120 days of hire.
  • Achieve Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within 3 years.
  • Candidate may also be a QAFP professional in good standing for at least 5 years, with up to 10 years of qualifying experience.
  • Skills:

    passion for financial planning, entrepreneurial spirit for business development, deep industry knowledge, excellent people and problem‑solving skills, strong communication, ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary $60,000 – $70,000 CAD per year, variable commission, health & dental benefits, pension plan, paid time off, banking benefits and discounts, career development and recognition programs.
