Join the Alberta Chief Firearms Office to administer the federal Canadian Firearms Program effectively. In this role, you will provide operational services, advise on complex issues, and ensure compliance with the Firearms Act. Your expertise will support diverse stakeholders, ensuring safety and proper administration within the firearms community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with the Firearms Act and regulations
• Investigate and analyze licensing applications for individuals and businesses
• Advise on tracking and reporting systems for firearms compliance
• Conduct inspections of firearms businesses and shooting ranges
• Develop public education programs to promote firearms safety
Requirements:
• University degree in Public Administration or related field
• Two years of experience in firearms regulation or policy analysis
• Strong knowledge of the Firearms Act and Canadian Firearms Program
• Restricted Possession and Acquisition License (R-PAL) required
• Ability to handle complex situations and maintain confidentiality
Support Alberta's community safety efforts through responsible firearms management.
