Shape rural Alberta's safety as a Community Peace Officer Level
1. This key role emphasizes vehicle enforcement and community education, enhancing responsible road use.
As a Transport Officer III, your focus will be on preserving the transportation infrastructure within the Special Areas of Alberta. You'll engage directly with industry partners and the public, ensuring compliance with road regulations and conducting patrols to support public safety. This position is critical for developing operational improvements and enhancing service delivery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Protect road infrastructure through enforcement actions
• Coordinate commercial vehicle permitting and compliance
• Conduct patrols to identify compliance issues
• Prepare reports and provide testimony in legal matters
• Safeguard parks and public lands as needed
Requirements:
• Eligible for Level 1 Community Peace Officer certification
• 5 years of experience as a Peace Officer
• Knowledge of enforcement-related systems
• Strong time management and judgment skills
• Meet physical demands and undergo drug testing
