Special Projects Planner in Banff

Shape the future of Banff as a Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects Planner. This role emphasizes your land use policy expertise to guide sustainable urban planning while celebrating the region’s unique heritage.

As part of the Town of Banff’s team, you will engage in critical planning initiatives, ensuring alignment with local legislation and Council goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft municipal land use policies and bylaws

• Oversee the Banff Community Plan initiatives

• Manage both Area Redevelopment and Structure Plans

• Work closely with environmental and development teams

• Effectively prioritize overlapping project timelines

Requirements:

• Degree in urban planning or related

• Experience in multi-jurisdictional settings

• Eligible for Canadian Institute of Planners membership

• Strong communication skills and project management

• Proven track record in managing several projects
