The Alberta Public Service works to build a stronger province for current and future generations. We make a difference in the lives of Albertans through rewarding and diverse career opportunities.
The Alberta Human Rights Commission works with Albertans to promote awareness of, and appreciation for, human rights and diversity. Its overall goal is to develop inclusive communities in which all Albertans can participate in the social, economic, and cultural life of the province without discrimination.
The Alberta Human Rights Act established the Alberta Human Rights Commission to carry out functions under the Act. The Commission is an independent commission created by the Government of Alberta, which reports to the Minister of Justice. It has a two-fold mandate: to foster equality and to reduce discrimination. It fulfills this mandate through the resolution and settlement of human rights complaints, and through an administratively fair human rights tribunal process, including mediations and hearings.

- Supporting executive operations through calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, budget tracking, and workflow management.
- Providing strategic advice and guidance on administrative processes, briefing requirements, and issue management practices across the Commission.
