Calgary Government Relations Specialist

This full-time position, reporting to the Director of Government Relations, involves deep collaboration with various teams to ensure senior leaders are equipped with essential information. You will actively monitor government activities and legislative changes, crafting high-quality materials that reflect Trans Mountain's core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Determine structure and framing of briefing materials
• Provide timely updates on political and regulatory developments
• Ensure senior leadership is well-prepared for engagements
• Research and produce accurate, clear written analyses
• Track engagements and comply with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or similar
• 6-9 years in government relations or stakeholder engagement
• Proven writing and editing skills
• Strong judgment with sensitive content
• Interest in energy and public policy
Contribute to Trans Mountain's impact on Canadian energy while building crucial governmental relationships in Calgary.
