Position: Full-Time Government Affairs Intern

Plains is seeking a Government & Regulatory Affairs Intern for a full-time role starting August 31, 2026, in downtown Calgary. You'll support legislative tracking, drafting comment letters, and preparing briefing notes. This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Political Science, Public Policy, or Communications, providing significant learning opportunities in the Canadian energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze federal and provincial regulations

• Review legislation and track relevant issues

• Draft comment letters with subject-matter experts

• Prepare internal reporting and stakeholder materials

• Conduct research on policy trends and funding opportunities

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program

• Demonstrated research and analytical abilities

• Proficiency in MS Office applications
