Summer Student in Government Relations

This role offers valuable experience analyzing policy issues and supporting strategic advocacy efforts.

As a Government Relations Summer Student, you'll report to the Manager, Government Relations and Policy, honing your organizational and analytical skills. This four-month position starts in May 2027 and is based in Calgary. You'll engage with significant policy issues, develop briefing notes, and support stakeholder engagements while collaborating with experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze emerging policy issues relevant to energy

• Develop briefing notes for senior leadership engagements

• Support policy position and advocacy strategy development

• Coordinate meetings and materials for stakeholder engagements

• Provide updates on government relations activities

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in relevant fields

• Strong interest in Canadian energy and government relations

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Superior organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
