Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Medical Office Assistant role located in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area. The successful candidate will perform essential administrative and clerical duties that include greeting patients, managing appointment scheduling, verifying insurance information, handling phone calls with professional etiquette, and assisting with routine administrative tasks. The role plays a significant part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the medical office while supporting the overall care experience for patients.

Qualifications
  • Strong Phone Etiquette and the ability to handle patient communications professionally
  • Experience in Appointment Scheduling and coordinating patient visits efficiently
  • Proficiency in Medical Terminology and understanding of healthcare-related language
  • Knowledge of Insurance Verification processes and handling patient insurance inquiries
  • Administrative Assistance skills, including general office duties, organization, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions
  • Proficiency in using medical office software and basic computer applications
  • Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting preferred but not required
