Mental Health Nurse - Substance Use Services

In this nursing position, you will provide a range of services to clients with substance use issues, ensuring they receive tailored and compassionate care. Collaborating closely with health professionals, you will assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and facilitate important health education sessions about substance use and recovery.
Your role may also integrate emergency response and crisis management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess mental health and substance use client needs
• Collaborate on care plans with the healthcare team
• Provide health education and supportive counseling
• Document clinical progress and interventions
• Conduct safety audits and participate in program improvements
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BCCNM license
• Experience in addiction services and counseling preferred
• Completion of substance use training or certification
• Excellent interpersonal and clinical skills
• Ability to prioritize client safety and support
