Renfrew Educational Services seeks a skilled Certified Hakomi Therapist to join their team part-time. Help empower children with disabilities through the Hakomi Method and compassionate care.
This critical role requires a deep understanding of therapeutic techniques grounded in mindfulness and body awareness. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve effective therapeutic goals. You will work closely with families to address parenting challenges and enhance the developmental trajectory of each child in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement therapy plans in cooperation with teams
• Set and review treatment goals to track progress
• Record observations and therapy outcomes thoroughly
• Advocate for clients by collaborating with other agencies
• Use mindful interventions to facilitate self-awareness and emotional growth
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Psychology and registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists
• Expertise in Hakomi Method and trauma-informed practices
• Experience with children and youth with disabilities
• Effective communication skills for diverse stakeholder interactions
• Must possess valid driver's license and professional liability insurance
