Position: Calgary Recovery Engagement Worker Role
Become a Recovery Engagement Worker with the DI in Calgary, Alberta. Support individuals as they transition through recovery stages with personalized, empathetic assistance.

This role is part of the Withdrawal Management and Recovery Transition programs within the Recovery‑Oriented System of Care. You will engage clients compassionately to help them develop recovery skills and social connections while promoting wellness through trauma-informed practices. Candidates should demonstrate a blend of lived experience or formal training in relevant fields, aiming to foster a nurturing environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish supportive, trusting connections with clients

• Assist in the creation of individualized recovery and wellness plans

• Facilitate engaging activities promoting emotional and physical wellness

• Conduct comprehensive assessments during the intake process

• Ensure consistent presence for daily wellness checks

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of sobriety/recovery or relevant certifications

• Familiarity with harm reduction and trauma-informed care

• Experience in shelter or homelessness services preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
