Red Deer Public Schools is looking for a Family School Liaison Counsellor dedicated to enhancing the mental health of students. Provide essential support and counseling to improve emotional well-being and resilience within a school setting.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with teachers and community services to address students’ social and emotional challenges through targeted interventions. Supporting both individuals and groups, you will facilitate skill-building initiatives and provide crisis intervention services. Flexibility is vital as you adapt to the needs of students and families during typical school hours.

• Deliver personalized counseling sessions for students
• Collaborate with staff on mental health initiatives
• Lead group sessions for skill development
• Provide intervention during crisis situations
• Document case plans according to skilled standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related health field
• Eligible for registration with ACSW or psychologists' college
• Experience counseling adolescents preferred
• Comprehension of community resources and needs
• Robust interpersonal and time-management skills
