Responsibilities
Conduct full respiratory assessments, diagnostics, and evaluate test results.
Initiate and supervise CPAP/oxygen therapy and BIPAP treatment.
Deliver equipment and supplies as required and perform routine equipment quality‑control checks.
Develop and implement respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with clients, physicians, and care teams.
Provide follow‑up to evaluate effects of the treatment plan, client comfort, and compliance with therapy.
Assess client home environment for safety; identify and address areas of concern.
Maintain continuing education and stay current with clinical best practices.
Comply with and maintain knowledge of all funding processes and systems.
Participate in sleep duties, including initiating PAP therapy when prescribed.
Ensure completion of all documentation and forms to initiate therapy.
Prepare and facilitate funding documents and payment processes.
Demonstrate and educate patients on usage of products and services.
Contribute to the growth of the organization by liaising with medical professionals.
Qualifications
Working toward becoming a Registered Respiratory Therapist; licensed to practice with the provincial governing body.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Strong cardio‑respiratory assessment skills.
Valid driver’s license and clear vulnerable persons check.
Previous experience in the healthcare field is an asset.
Ability to participate in a rotational after‑hours on‑call schedule.
Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications, and Android.
