The Therapy Assistant role at South Health Campus requires strong interpersonal and clinical skills to assist Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech Language Pathologists. You'll be involved in direct and indirect patient care across various healthcare settings, focusing on rehabilitation for all ages. This physically demanding position involves repetitive lifting and transferring of patients and/or equipment, adapting to changing caseloads as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision

• Collaborate with an inter-professional team for effective rehabilitation

• Implement quality improvement and program planning initiatives

• Display professionalism and ethics in client care

• Contribute to student supervision and team competency

Requirements:

• Diploma from an accredited Therapy Assistant program

• Current BCLS-HCP certification

• Experience as a Therapy Assistant in acute care is preferred

• Background as a Seating Technician within the past year is an asset

• Ability to adapt to various shift patterns
