Work in our innovative Long Term Care setting as a Mental Health Worker specializing in support for residents 18 and older with complex mental health needs. Focus on community reintegration and well-being.

In this collaborative role within the interdisciplinary team, you will support residents with behavior management and symptom relief. Collaborating with healthcare professionals such as the Resident Care Manager and Social Worker, you will use a strengths-based approach to foster stability and recovery. Building rapport will be key in helping residents enhance their social skills and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for resident support

• Offer behavior and symptom management for residents 18+

• Promote community reintegration and psycho-social health

• Cultivate problem-solving skills in residents

• Monitor and report unsafe behaviors promptly

Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate in Mental Health or related discipline

• Genuine compassion for working with a senior population

• Excellent relationship-building skills

• Knowledge of mental health complexities
