Recreation Therapy Aide

Position: Recreation Therapy Aide at AgeCare
Support therapeutic recreation at Age Care as a Recreation Therapy Aide. Collaborate and implement tailored programs to enhance the lives of residents through engaging activities.

In this role, reporting to the Recreation Manager, you’ll assist in assessing and planning individualized recreation programs. Your responsibilities include promoting resident participation, managing program schedules, and ensuring compliance with care plans. You will be instrumental in enriching the quality of life for residents in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting individual Leisure Lifestyle goals

• Ensure program schedule revisions are effectively communicated

• Transport residents to offsite recreational activities

• Participate in planning the monthly Recreation Calendar

• Conduct environmental safety audits regularly

Requirements:

• RTA diploma or HCA certificate required

• Class 4 Driver’s License or willingness to obtain

• Heart saver CPR & First Aid certification preferred

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Experience in a Recreation Therapy setting is an asset
