March of Dimes Canada is seeking a dedicated Support Service Attendant to serve as a Personal Support Worker in Haldimand, ON. This part-time position offers a chance to assist clients in their daily living needs.
As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide vital assistance with non-medical tasks in clients’ homes, tailored to individual service plans. The role includes personal care, lifts and transfers, and meal preparation. You will visit various locations, and mileage will be reimbursed for travel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Aid clients in daily living activities with dignity
• Carry out lifts and transfers professionally
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in client homes
• Respect privacy and preferences of service users
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
• Experience with older adults or those with disabilities is valuable
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
