Medical Laboratory Technologist at Avenida

Join the Avenida PSC team as a Medical Laboratory Technologist I. Responsible for processing diagnostic samples and communicating critical lab results in a fast-paced environment.

As a key member of the Laboratory Information Centre, you will handle both outgoing calls with vital lab results and incoming inquiries concerning testing procedures. This role demands astute communication skills, efficiently addressing client concerns and alerting senior staff to unusual findings. The position also involves assisting in training and staff scheduling, all within a supportive team framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate critical and STAT test results via phone

• Manage incoming queries about lab results and procedures

• Document client interactions per laboratory standards

• Assist in training and competency maintenance of staff

• Contribute to area operations improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Completion of accredited MLT program

• Active/eligible registration with CMLTA

• Experience in a Laboratory Information Centre preferred

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Proficient in Epic Beaker and Genesys Phone System
