Join the Sport Medicine Centre as a Full-time Medical Office Assistant for a limited term role to support pediatric orthopedic surgeries and enhance patient experience. This position emphasizes scheduling, patient care, and administrative tasks.
As a Medical Office Assistant, you will report to the Clinic Manager and assist with various clinical administrative services for 2–3 pediatric orthopedic surgeons. Key tasks include booking surgeries, managing patient appointments, and preparing electronic medical records in AHS Connect Care.
Your role will also involve supporting co-workers in high-pressure situations, while adapting to new policies and technology as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with minor procedures and brace fitting
• Schedule surgeries, tests, and referrals efficiently
• Prepare patients for visits and EMR documentation
• Manage supplies and assist on projects
• Troubleshoot software issues with IT department
Requirements:
• Medical assistant certification or 5 years' experience
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records systems
• Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
• Calm under pressure with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and professional discretion
