Description:
As a Family Counsellor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to clients and their families. You will also provide clinical focused consultation with other programs or community resources and acts as a liaison to develop and promote preventative health programs in the community. You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.
Required Qualifications:Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
AdditionalRequired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology. Full registration with provincial regulatory body. If applicable candidates may require special authorization from their applicable regulating body to perform psychosocial interventions. Demonstrated experience with theoretical frameworks, therapeutic interventions and clinical skills with individuals and groups related to grief, loss and bereavement. Experience and proficiency in trauma work and interventions. Specialized knowledge of grief, loss, trauma and bereavement.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical counseling experience, including the provision of grief support.
3 years + of clinical counseling experience, including the provision of grief support. Experience with a brief model of counseling. Experience and proficiency with Connect Care. Experience with facilitation of groups is also preferred.
