Join Carewest as a Health Care Aide and provide vital support to clients aged 18 to 64 with complex health needs. Your expertise in trauma-informed care helps enhance quality of life every day.
As an HCA reporting to the Director of Care, you will play a crucial role in ongoing client care.
Experience with mental health diagnoses, neurological conditions, and the unique needs of a younger adult population will be essential. You will efficiently make observations and report any changes in client conditions to nurses and deliver prescribed medications as per established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and report client status changes to RN or LPN
• Provide prescribed medications accurately and safely
• Assist in lifting, transferring, and repositioning clients
• Deliver trauma-informed care to support diverse needs
• Uphold professional and ethical care standards in all interactions
Requirements:
• High School Diploma plus HCA program completion
• Active registration with CLHA
• Effective English communication skills
• Physical capability for client handling tasks
• Related healthcare experience is preferred
