Empower Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at Calgary Board of Education as an Educational Audiologist. Engage directly with students while providing vital support and enhancing learning environments.
In this prominent role, you will serve K-12 students and work with a diverse population, ensuring that every student receives the necessary audiological support. Through collaboration with families, staff, and community audiologists, you will address each student’s unique needs. Responsibilities include diagnosing hearing loss, maintaining assistive technology, and educating staff about hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in audiological identification and remediation strategies
• Conduct in-service training on hearing impairments
• Oversee auditory equipment maintenance and inventory
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for student support
• Generate reports detailing hearing conditions and progress
Requirements:
• Master’s or Doctor of Audiology degree required
• Active registration with the ACSLPA
• Minimum three years of pediatric experience in audiology
• Familiarity with audiology equipment and FM systems
• Strong ability to communicate in DHH contexts
Play a pivotal role in fostering accessibility and inclusion for students at CBE.
