Carya is seeking a dedicated Intake and Assessment Counsellor focused on older adults and families in Calgary. This full-time role involves providing client-centered support and assessments for families with members aged 55 or older.
As part of the Counselling Services Department, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing of older adults and their families. Your responsibilities will range from delivering brief, strength-based counselling to coordinating services efficiently while ensuring detailed assessments and ethical practices. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and community partners to support clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess eligibility and connect clients to needed services
• Provide brief, strength-based counselling sessions
• Manage cases from assessment to intervention and closure
• Maintain accurate waitlists and service communication
• Collaborate with partners for effective service delivery
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field
• Experience with strength-based and solution-focused therapy
• Previous clinical assessment or intake experience
• Strong attention to detail and ethical standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and case management software
