Join Age Care McKenzie Towne in Calgary as a Health Care Aide. This part-time role focuses on delivering essential care and fostering well-being for senior residents.
In this role, you are an integral member of the care team, working under the guidance of Licensed Practical Nurses. You will provide basic care services, observe resident conditions, and actively participate in Nursing Care Plans to enhance resident quality of life. Your insights will help inform the safety and wellness approaches taken.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer compassionate, resident-focused care each shift
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions
• Support residents in mobility and active participation
• Collaborate with nursing staff on care planning
• Identify and report potential safety hazards
Requirements:
• Completion of Health Care Aide program (500 hours minimum)
• Experience working in community settings with seniors
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification preferred
• Ability to assist with lifting and transferring clients
