As a Pharmacy Technician, you will leverage your skills to assure patient safety and efficiency in medication distribution. You’ll perform both sterile and non-sterile compounding, check medication orders, and assist with training new staff. Your work will ensure adherence to NAPRA and ACP standards while contributing to quality-improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate sterile and non-sterile compounding activities
• Perform final checks of patient medication orders
• Mentor Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal patient care
• Participate in operational activities and educational training
Requirements:
• Completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician training
• Current registration with Alberta College of Pharmacy
• 2+ years' experience in pediatrics required
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Adaptable to shifting technological workflows
